I have to say, I’m not what you would call a coffee “snob”, but I can drink just about any type of coffee.

But if you’re one of those people that would rather grind beans the old fashioned way without electronics, this grinder may not be for you.
The KRUPS F203 is a grinder for not only coffee, but spices as well.

Now, if you are an anti-blade person, then obviously you may not want to check this one out.
This is more for the people that don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on an expensive burr grinder.
KRUPS F 203: Pros
So first, let’s talk about the pros of this grinder.
It has a large coffee bean capacity.
The grinder can hold up to 12 cups of coffee beans so you can grind a whole pot of coffee within a few minutes.
It has a safety switch.
For those of you, like myself, have children and want to grab anything and everything.
You may worry that they might try to get curious about the grinder because it has sharp blades.
But no worries!
The blades don’t spin if the lid isn’t locked into place, so the little fingers are safe.
It is inexpensive.
You might be thinking that with it being a “fancy” grinder, that it is a not-so-fancy price.
It is actually one of the cheaper grinders, only being in the low range.
So you get more for your money.

Now of course, with pros comes cons.
Nothing is ever perfect so here’s a couple downsides to this grinder.
Being a blade grinder, you may not get the full flavor of coffee.

Very limited control of grind size. The blades are raised just a little.
So, if you’re looking for a very fine grind, you probably won’t get it with this.
It is designed for more coarse grinds.
Hassle to clean
Some parts cannot be removed. So it’s a little annoying!
You have to get every crevice of the grinder when you’re cleaning it.

Used this to grind peppercorns yesterday for Kung Pau chicken. Very happy with results.
Very happy with this product it’s small and cute, easy to clean, quiet, grinds well. I haven’t tried spices yet as it’s winter and I don’t have anything growing at the moment but looking forward to trying them price as well.
I have ground several spices in this now and it works great each time. I also love that it is so quiet. When i get early (maybe 4 am) while everyone is still asleep. I can grind my coffee beans and no one hears this machine.

Now we will talk about some other options if you don’t think this one is right for you.
This grinder is very similar to the KRUPS F203.
One of the differences is it only has a 2.5 ounce capacity.
Also, it has 250 watt motor as opposed to the KRUP’s 200 watt motor.
This grinder is a little cheaper range as well for those that don’t want to spend the money on the KRUPS F203.
This grinder is almost exactly the same as the KRUPS F203.
The main difference is the size.
This grinder is a tad bit bigger, not even really enough to notice.
However, it is also the cheaper of the two.
If you’re interested in the KRUPS but you would rather save about ten dollars, this might be your best bet.
Mr. Coffee 12 Cup Coffee Grinder
(with Multi Settings)
This grinder is a little different. It has a few more features than the KRUPS F203.
To start, it has options where you can choose what grind size you want.
It automatically grinds to that desired size, ranging from fine to medium to coarse.
So you won’t have to just look through the top and figure out what size you have.
Also, it has a self-cleaning function that sweeps the walls of the chamber.
This is definitely a good pick for those that aren’t big on cleaning grinders, and you will also save few dollars, right?
This grinder is about the same price, but the chamber is smaller than the KRUPS F203.
It only holds about 7 cups of coffee beans and grinds 2.5 ounces at a time.
So if you want more for your money, this one might not be the best pick for you.
This grinder is more expensive than the KRUPS F203, and also the other alternatives I have mentioned.
However, it holds 12 cups of coffee beans and grinds 4 ounces at once.
So you will most likely grind the 12 cups in this grinder than you will using the KRUPS.
This grinder also bigger than the KRUPS F203.
For example, it is wider and taller.
Which would probably explain why it grinds more at one time.
If you want a grinder that’s bigger, you may have to spend a few more bucks, but this one might be perfect.
Conclusion
We don’t all have the time or the energy to grind beans by hand every day, nor do we want to buy a grinder that’s too expensive when most electric grinders give the same results.
Do you want a quick and easy grind? This can do it.
Do you want to get a grinder that’s well worth the money, but also not expensive? This might be perfect.
