JavaPresse burr coffee grinder comes with many features, which is why it quickly becoming a staple in many households.

I like that it is a slender machine and is therefore, easy to store in a cupboard or even toss in a suitcase for traveling.

One of the best features of the small JavaPresse burr mill is its built-in grind selector.

This allows you to choose between 18 click settings to grind your coffee with.

If you are bored with a grinder that only allows you to pick from two different grinds, then this machine can make you happy!

Check out the picture below of some of the different textures you can grind your coffee into.

JavaPresse Coffee grinder

The JavaPresse’s various consistencies it can produce your coffee in

The JavaPresse grinder comes with a stainless-steel lid and body, that the company claims are stronger than stainless steel.

The lid ensures no spillage, and comes with a convenient hand crack that attaches to the top of the gadget.

The crank allows the users to control how coarse they want their coffee to turn out, making it very user friendly and customizable.

The crank is also quiet and does not create much noise.

The unit also comes with a ceramic burr, that has recently been upgraded, and a sleek housing of the machine, as well.

The upgraded burr is more durable and allows for less movement when the coffee grinder is in action.

The unit itself comes in 4 pieces: bottom collection jar, top body where coffee beans go, the lid, and hand crank on top.

The entire unit of the grinder is designed with convenience. It can easily be held, is lightweight, and can be stored in a bag or cupboard without taking up much room.

Ceramic Burr

There are not many small pieces to the JavaPresse coffee mill.

If you buy the manual grinder (or French Press), these are easy enough to disassemble!

There is nothing more frustrating than standing at the kitchen counter hopelessly trying to piece back together your coffee grinder.

The JavaPresse allows you to hand-grind your own coffee beans, which means you can customize every cup of coffee you sit down to enjoy.

All you have to do is turn the knob to the right and the numbers below represent every click you make to the left.

The number you choose to take will determine the coarseness of your coffee beans.

Take a look at the numbers:

  • Coarse: 13-18
  • Medium: 10-12
  • Medium Coarse: 7-9
  • Medium Fine: 4-6
  • Extra Fine: 1-3

The more coffee you grind, the more you will see which type you prefer best.

Special Features And Benefits

The JavaPresse manual coffee grinder is super easy to clean.

And all you need to do is soak in warm water and thoroughly dry before piecing back together.

Like any coffee grinder, do not let water build-up in the crevices of the pieces. This can cause mold to grow or bacteria to thrive.

This company also prides itself in making a rust-free product. Something I know I really appreciate as a consumer spending my hard-earned money.

JavaPresse creates their grinders, press, and coffee beans with the utmost care, it is very clear to see.

The burrs used in their machines also go under three careful inspections before being shipped out.

JavaPresse believes that no one should waste their time and energy on a low-grade cup of coffee, so that is why they want to liberate coffee drinkers and introduce them to the change that is their company.

This company and their coffee products are in business to provide great coffee experience with good cup of hand-crafted coffee.

Javapresse hand mill grinds coffee beans in a jiffy. Does not take up much room on the kitchen counter.

That is ideal for small apartments with some low-spacious kitchen.

Additionally, the handheld grinder is attractive. The stainless-steel look pair with almost any other décor you have in the kitchen.

It only ways 11.8 ounces and so packing it around is an easy task!

However, if you do put it in a suitcase or carrying bag, ensure you are mindful of the breakable glass on the bottom of the unit.

JavaPresse offers a 365-day warranty that covers any defects or issues you have with your grinder. This allows the buyers to buy it with confidence.

However, keep in mind, if you do not like the taste of your coffee beans, you can't return them.

JavaPresse wants to keep happy customers. So they offer to ship you a different bean if you do not like the one you ordered.

For sanitary reasons as well, they do not accept coffee beans as a returnable item.

Social Proof

After doing some personal research on the JavaPresse, I came across many wonderful testaments from happy consumers.

After reading them, it made me realize how great of a product this must be!

Check out what these happy customers have to say:

Mike, an avid coffee drinker, says:

I’ve used the JavaPresse coffee grinder for a few weeks now. I like the feel of it when grinding coffee.”

After receiving her grinder in the mail, Vudu says,

It’s beautiful! The craftsmanship is also great”.

Chris B. says,

“I’m a newbie to grinding my own coffee and spent quite a while looking at various manually-cranked, relatively inexpensive grinders to use with my French press.

I’d already placed a similar grinder in my cart when I decided to take one last look at a couple others. I was drawn to this one by not only the positive reviews, but the candid, well-spoken, “down-to-earth” description.

The price was also a good bit less than the previous one I’d picked…so I was sold. I chose 1-day shipping and it arrived on time.

The grinder was just as described and came with a manual that was actually useful.

I mean, you can definitely figure it out without instructions (dump in beans, adjust grind level just as you would on a pepper grinder, pop the handle on, etc).

But I took the time to watch the videos that the manual directed me to and they were actually worth a look. Anyway, thing has worked great for me – no complaints.

And I especially like that Raj from JavaPresse is giving the product and customers their due appreciation and attention, with just a couple of well-placed email to check in and let you know he’s there to stand behind his product – and it’s actually sincere, I feel.

Would definitely recommend to others and would purchase again, as it would make an excellent gift.”

These customers seem very pleased with their purchase of a JavaPresse Grinder, and they all seem to agree that the coffee tastes great and the machine is easy to use.

Javapresse Alternatives

The JavaPresse has some competitors on the market, and I am here to break down the facts and present to you some alternatives.

Strong and durable is this coffee mill. This coffee mill is intricately designed and can hold roughly 2 oz. of ground coffee.

Not only that, this coffee mill can grind up spices and herbs efficiently, making it a multi-purpose unit.

  • Made of gorgeous Beech Wood
  • Lifetime warranty
  • Grinds beans efficiently and evenly
  • Slightly pricey
  • Designed with mechanisms that make it heavy duty and versatile

Compared to the JavaPresse, the Peugeot Nostalgic Hand Coffee Mill is almost 6 times the price.

However, it appears to be slightly sturdier and the company, Peugeot, has been around longer.

That being said, both JavaPresse and Peugeot offer a warranty to their customers so that they can confidently purchase a coffee grinder.

Crafted with beautiful pieces, the Zassenhaus Coffee Mill is a long-lasting coffee grinder.

It contains a conical burr grinder and is non-electric, which means you can control the texture of the beans.

  • Made in Germany with fine German craftsmanship
  • 25-year guarantee on the grinder
  • Easy to adjust and work
  • Coffee tastes amazing and fresh

Compared to the JavaPresse, the Zassenhaus is more expensive, so it is slightly an investment.

However, it does offer a 25-year guarantee on the grinder, something JavaPresse does not, although it does have warranty coverage.

The Zassenhaus appears to be a sturdy and well-made unit that produces fresh tasting coffee each time.

The JavaPresse is less expensive and produces fresh coffee as well, with the similar crank system.

With a similar design to the JavaPresse, this Japanese made grinder is made of durable stainless-steel and can grind in many different ways: powder or even French press.

It is also lightweight and easy to pack around like the JavaPresse.

  • Easy to clean stainless steel
  • Simple to turn
  • Safe to use to grind tough spices

Compared to the JavaPresse, the Porlex Mini Stainless Steel Coffee Grinder is similar in price more than the others presented.

The handle on it is slightly longer than the crank on a JavaPresse.

Appearance wise, the two units look the same, and there is a difference in opinions on whether the JavaPress or the Porlex works best – personal preference, I say!

The sleek, transparent coffee grinder from Handground Precision Coffee Grinder, is an easy to use machine that has 15 different coarseness settings.

All you do is add the beans, lock, and start grinding.

  • Attractive appearance
  • Pakka wood knob
  • Efficient and quality-made
  • Has a grip pad on the bottom to prevent sliding

Compared to the JavaPresse, the Handground Precision Coffee Grinder has a different placement of its crank handle.

Additionally, this grinder’s handle is to the side, whereas the JavaPresse is on the top.

This of course does not affect the quality of the beans, but it may make it easier for certain individuals than some.

The price of a Handground Precision Coffee Grinder much more than our recommended product.

Equadose Precision Bean Coffee Grinder

The Precision Bean Coffee Grinder is a perfect option for grinding up espresso, and it is a product that is made to last.

The entire unit is composed of metal, which means it is lightweight and sturdy.

  • Portable – take it anywhere!
  • No plastic was used to make this product
  • Easy to disassemble for cleaning
  • Manufactured with quality and care

Compared to the JavaPresse, the Precision Bean runs a little on the expensive side.

It cuts the beans up in a consistent motion, and appears to have a slightly more precise grind than the JavaPresse.

That being said, these unis look like similar in appearance and efficiently grind beans to whatever setting you prefer.

Conclusion

Overall, the JavaPresse is an efficient and quality-made unit.

The very fact that it allows you to grind your own beans to your desired texture with various settings is what sets it apart from other coffee grinders.

If you are someone who is tired of boring coffee or want a better way of grinding beans, the JavaPresse is a good option for you.

It is easy to use, inexpensive, and is designed and made by a company who cares for coffee connoisseurs.
